1940 July

Created by Helen 2 years ago

Evacuated to Uttoxeter after seeing the boats come back from Dunkirk.”We watched the strange boats landing troops at Margate Pier, the men wearing all sorts of uniform and strange ‘tin hats’. The boats were so crowded that at a distance you could just see a ring of khaki above the hull.” Then, after  a spell back in Margate, to Norfolk with Aunt Nellie and Uncle Sid.
