Uncle John was a dear man and a great Uncle. He even took on the massive task of teaching me Algebra one summer.
He was a wonderful brother to my mum.
Sending our condolences to my cousins and Auntie Sheila

I have lovely memories of John & Sheila letting us "help out" at the farm at the weekends when we were children. They must have been infinitely patient, because I'm sure we were very little help, but just kept turning up. At least we had Peter to supervise us. They let us take the goats for walks to pick Blackberries, then whizzed the blackberries up to make blackberry flavoured yoghurt. Such happy memories. I'm sure those experiences contributed enormously to me eventually becoming a smallholder myself.
